Grape juice

Grapes are undoubtedly good for juices but are they as beneficial as red wines?

Recent research suggests that purple and re grape juices may provide a similar heart-health benefits than red wine.

The health benefits include:

  • Reduction of the risk of blood clots
  • Reduction of “bad” cholesterol
  • Prevention of damages to heart blood vessels
  • Help to maintain a healthy blood pressure
  • Bring antioxidant flavonoids

The clear advantage is that you got the red wine cardiovascular benefits without the alcohol.

Eating red table grapes would not provide the same protection as the juice is not only made by crushing the skin and flesh but also the grape seeds, which are very rich in antioxidant flavonoids.
